Gamdom roulette: one name, two very different games
The Originals wheel is a three-colour race that resolves in seconds. The casino tables are the classic 37-pocket game with inside and outside bets. They share a name and almost nothing else.
Decorative wheel. Numbers are a fixed sample, not a live result feed.
Red, black, green and a ten second clock
The in-house version strips roulette down to three outcomes. Red and black pay 2x, green pays 100x, and a countdown runs between rounds while bets are open. Everyone in the round is betting on the same spin, and the totals staked on each colour are visible as the clock runs down.
The recent-results strip above the lanes is the part players misread most often. A run of six reds does not make black more likely on the seventh spin. Each round is generated independently, which is the whole point of the provably fair seed pair.
- Rounds resolve roughly every 15 to 20 seconds
- Bets can be split across colours in the same round
- Provably fair verification available per round
Bet types on a standard wheel
On a 37-pocket European table every bet listed here carries the same house edge of about 2.7%. What changes is the shape of the ride, not the cost of it.
| Bet | Covers | Pays | Win chance (single zero) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Straight up | One number | 35 to 1 | 2.70% |
| Split | Two adjacent numbers | 17 to 1 | 5.41% |
| Street | Three numbers in a row | 11 to 1 | 8.11% |
| Corner | Four numbers | 8 to 1 | 10.81% |
| Dozen or column | Twelve numbers | 2 to 1 | 32.43% |
| Red / black, odd / even, high / low | Eighteen numbers | 1 to 1 | 48.65% |
Figures describe the standard European single-zero wheel and are shown to compare bet types. They are not Gamdom-specific payout terms and no live odds are being quoted here.
Three wheels worth knowing apart
European
Thirty-seven pockets, one zero. House edge around 2.7% on every bet. The default choice and the most widely available.
French
Same wheel as European, plus La Partage or En Prison rules that return half an even-money stake when zero lands. That halves the edge to roughly 1.35% on those bets.
American
Adds a double zero for thirty-eight pockets. Edge climbs to about 5.26% with identical payouts. Avoid it when a single-zero table is available.
Roulette questions
What roulette can I play on Gamdom?
Two different things share the name. Gamdom Originals Roulette is a fast in-house wheel with red, black and green segments. Separately the casino section carries conventional European, French and American tables plus live dealer studios streamed with real croupiers.
What is the difference between European and American roulette?
European wheels have a single zero, American wheels have both a zero and a double zero. That extra pocket roughly doubles the house edge, from about 2.7% to about 5.26%, without changing any payout. There is no reason to choose the American wheel.
What does the green pocket pay on Originals Roulette?
In the Originals wheel, red and black pay 2x and green pays 100x, with green appearing far less often. Exact segment counts are shown in the game itself.
Does any roulette strategy beat the house edge?
No. Martingale, Fibonacci, D'Alembert and the rest reshape the distribution of your results, making small wins more frequent and the rare loss much larger. The expected value does not move, and table limits stop doubling sequences before they recover.
Is live dealer roulette different to the software version?
The wheel physics are real rather than generated, the pace is slower, and stake minimums are usually higher. The odds on an equivalent single-zero table are the same.
On betting systems
Every roulette system rearranges the same fixed edge. Martingale doubles after a loss so that one win recovers the sequence, which produces long stretches of small wins and an occasional catastrophic one. The maths does not fail gradually. It fails once, hard, usually at the table limit.
If you enjoy a progression as a way to structure a session, size it so the worst case is still inside what you were prepared to lose when you sat down. Treat it as pacing, not as an edge, and set a session limit in your account before the first spin rather than during the sixth double.
Spin with 15% rakeback active
Roulette generates rake on every round you place. Apply 15BOOST first so the first seven days return a share of it.
